Saturday Night WWE NXT Takeover proved that they are the better brand than the main roster, Their show was superior compared to Summerslam. I legit got chills when Shinsuke Nakamura entrance happened with the violinist that did his entrance live. The whole crowd was singing along with the theme song.
Where do I begin to talk about the matches that happened on Saturday. Let's start with the NXT Tag Team Championship The Revival barely escaped Brooklyn with the tag team championships. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa better known as DIY, This match stole the show in my eyes of the Takeover Brooklyn card. DIY held their own against the champs, I actually thought that they were going to be the new champs.
Bayley she wrestled her heart out in the middle of the ring in her rematch with the “Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka, Asuka retain her women’s championship. This match was awesome it was better than their wrestlemania weekend match up where Asuka dethroned Bayley for the women’s championship. Now the question is who is going to be the one that ends the reign of Asuka?
Ember Moon Rising? That is going to be the name of her Stunner that she hit on Billie Kay. That match was Ember Moon debut in NXT and she showed WWE what she can do in the ring. Ember is one that could be ready to face Asuka now.
Shinsuke Nakamura, the King of Strong Style defeated the NXT Champion Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe was talking about how he is the Emperor of Strong Style. Shinsuke Dislocated Joe jaw with his Kinshasa, now rumors are going around that the NXT title is going to get a makeover like the IWGP IC title and have a white leather strap instead of the black one.
How Glorious was Robert Roode debut in NXT, that entrance was Glorious with him descending from the rafters like he was descending to earth from the heavens. He defeated Andrade Cien Almas. This match was better than i expected it to be when they announced this match.
Austin Aries vs No Way Jose, brought out a different style of No Way Jose. That side of him is something that i was waiting to see come out and i am glad it came out thanks to Austin Aries. Yes Aries wins his debut but after the match is what was more talked about it was Hideo Itami coming out and hitting the GTS on Aries. Now this is a feud that i can see money in leading into Takeover Respect.
